Amy & Ben

On the morning of a stunning summer day in 2016, Amy and Ben were getting ready for their big day. They chose hues of vivid yellow and deep blue and the weather matched their colour scheme perfectly as the brilliant sun hung in a clear blue sky. I was elated! What a gorgeous day to capture the story of a fantastic couple.

Amy chose to get ready at home, while her SO was just around the corner getting ready at his parents house, this was perfect for me as it meant with some help from an eager best man, I could pop between the two and capture both parties getting ready.

The ceremony was held in a stunning chapel in Eastbourne, flooded with light and loving friends and family. The couple shared a special ceremony with loved ones and burst out the church with the pure joy of being married.

The reception was held at a converted barn, packed with sunflowers, afternoon tea goodies and a roast hog for dinner. While guests are having their welcome drinks, settling in and signing the guest book - this is the moment I sneak my couple away for a few quiet moments (and photographs!) This time is important, as it’s the only moments they’ll have together to take in the day and breath each other in, and recharge for an evening of fun and love

As the evening progressed onto the night, love and laughter bubbled over. Emotional speeches were had and delicious food was served.
